    News and Updates

Our firm’s environmental law department provides regulatory legal advisory services in relation to legal proceedings and transactions on a host of environmental matters. Our department has a wealth of experience in handling a broad array of environmental law and related matters.

Our department’s most significant advantage stems from the integration between our practice of environmental law and our firm’s practice of other interfacing legal fields, including, planning and zoning, municipal law, as well as the representation of industrial companies and entities. Our department has vast experience in advising on complex environmental projects, from the early planning stages, through the stage of development and concluding with the building of the project’s environmental infrastructure.

The crucial factor of our successful representation in such cases and projects lies in our ability to completely integrate between the statutory – planning aspects and the environmental aspects of these cases and projects. Thanks to the integration of these practices, our clients have their environmental interests, be those entrepreneurial environmental interests or environmental protection interests, come forward and expressed in the planning process, in both, the administrative stage before the planning bodies and the legal stage, before the various court instances.

Furthermore, our department possesses special expertise in litigating administrative and criminal environmental cases, as well as handling and answering the broad spectrum of environmental criminal charges. In this respect, we file petitions before all court instances on environmental and energy related matters, including before the High Court of Justice, administrative tribunals and courts, various statutory committees and more.

The department’s clients include statutory bodies, local authorities and municipalities, local and regional councils, as well as corporations operating in the chemical, tire, energy, insurance, renewable energy, hotel (local and international), technology and real estate sectors and industries.

Over the years, our department has represented numerous clients on environmental related matters. The following are a few examples of such cases:

    • Representation of a significant player in the energy and infrastructure sector in pre-indictment hearing proceedings for alleged violations of the Business License Law and Water Law and Regulations. The hearing was successfully concluded, and following our intervention and representation, not only did the client avoid a criminal indictment, but it also obtained a temporary business license for operating one of its plants, despite prolonged delays on the part of the relevant regulatory bodies.
    • Representation of the Givatayim Local Planning Committee in an array of environmental and planning proceedings.
