    Miriel Amir

    Miriel Amir is a senior attorney in the Labor Law Department at Amit, Pollak, Matalon & Co.

    Miriel represents leading and large companies across various sectors in the economy. She provides ongoing legal counsel in the field of labor laws, including in criminal and administrative proceedings with government authorities, permit requests and investigations with the Supervisor of Women’s Employment, the Ministry of Labor and the Population Authority. She is involved in overseeing investigation proceedings to prevent sexual harassment, dealing with service providers including manpower contractors and service contractors – in accordance with the Law for Enhancing Enforcement, with extensive familiarity with relevant legislation and extension orders, as well as in engagements with freelancers.

    Miriel is dedicated to her clients’ needs, prepares legal opinions on various topics and assists them with legal due diligence and day-to-day issues regarding employees and service providers. She conducts due diligence, compliance surveys and specific mappings (e.g., incentive and commission mechanisms), and consults with clients throughout hiring and termination processes. She also handles litigation – writing legal briefs and pleadings, appearing before courts and managing complex legal proceedings including claims regarding recognition of employment relations, unlawful dismissals, class actions and more.

    During her studies at the Interdisciplinary Center Herzliya, Miriel worked as a coordinator for the Perach Mentoring project and volunteered in various other social action endeavors, including at the Execution Chamber in Herzliya, working with at-risk youth and more.

    In the past, Miriel has worked at leading law firms in the field of labor law representing both employees and employers.
