Moshe Matalon is a third generation attorney and one of the leading real estate and construction lawyers in Israel for the past four decades. Mr. Matalon is a senior partner and one of the founders of Amit, Pollak, Matalon & Co. and leads the firm’s International department. Mr. Matalon also has vast experience in all matters pertaining to corporate law, as well as significant experience as a mediator both in Israel and abroad.

Mr. Matalon has led numerous international real estate transactions, specifically in Western and Eastern Europe. These require knowledge of foreign real estate legislation, a broad perspective, excellent relations with local lawyers and creative solutions for bridging the cultural gaps.

Upon joining the firm in 1971, Mr. Matalon dealt with a variety of matters, concentrating mainly on litigation and dispute resolution. A few years later, he turned his focus to real estate, later on specializing in the international aspect, and has been leading this area of practice within the firm with much success ever since.

Mr. Matalon provides clients with ongoing legal counseling regarding development and construction of large and complex projects, purchase groups, the establishment of real estate funds as well as unique real estate initiatives. Mr. Matalon personally accompanies each and every one of his projects, from initial proceedings to the successful closing of the deal. He makes sure to follow up with every client, believing that in order to provide the best legal counseling, a good lawyer should always be involved in his client’s business activities and be familiar with the details of every transaction and every legal proceeding.

Mr. Matalon leverages his vast experience and knowledge, accumulated over years of involvement in a wide range of unique projects, to achieve creative and unorthodox solutions for his clients.

The network of contacts he has established over the years, his innate understanding of his client’s motivations, his interpersonal skills and his ability to formulate excellent legal documents, have all contributed to his status as one of Israel’s leading attorneys.

After more than 40 years of practice, Mr. Matalon still has the same passion for the profession as he had as a young enthusiastic attorney, and he still provides close and personal counseling to his clients, while making sure the International department he heads continues to develop and excel.

Mr. Matalon holds the rank of colonel in the Israeli army reserves, and serves as a judge in the Israeli Military Court of Appeals.

    Joined the firm in 1970.
