    Kahlon’s amendment is welcome – nevertheless, the solution he is suggesting in limited (TheMarker 4.3.2016)

    In an article to TheMarker magazine, Adv. Ofra Cohen, partner in the firm, reviewed and examine the most welcome benefits, nevertheless highly limited, of the latest amendment to the Planning and Building Law known as “Shabes-Kahlon’s Law”.

    According to Adv. Cohen’s opinion, on the one hand, this amendment exemplify a new course of the government – to delegate more and greater jurisdiction and authorities to the local committees, in order to ease and motivate the Israeli real-estate market. Unfortunately, on the other hand there are strict deliberated limitations in the amendment, that may make it practically almost meaningless.
