In an Article Published in Globes Magazine Adv. Ella Chertok-Harcabi from our firm’s Regulatory Compliance Department, referred to the latest amendment to the Israeli Consumer Protection Act, which came into force during January 2015 and provides the Commissioner of the Consumer Protection and Fair Trade Authority with certain administrative authorities, including the authority to impose significant financial sanctions on companies in violation of the Act.
Among other things, Adv. Chertok-Harcabi noted that companies must perform advance internal inspections, in order to assure that they are in compliance with the requirements of the Act.
